Algorithmic Linearly Constrained Gaussian Processes
نویسنده
چکیده
We algorithmically construct multi-output Gaussian process priors which satisfy linear differential equations. Our approach attempts to parametrize all solutions of the equations using Gröbner bases. If successful, a push forward Gaussian process along the paramerization is the desired prior. We consider several examples, among them the full inhomogeneous system of Maxwell’s equations. By bringing together stochastic learning and computeralgebra in a novel way, we combine noisy observations with precise algebraic computations.

Variational Inference for Gaussian Process Modulated Poisson Processes
We present the first fully variational Bayesian inference scheme for continuous Gaussianprocess-modulated Poisson processes. Such point processes are used in a variety of domains, including neuroscience, geo-statistics and astronomy, but their use is hindered by the computational cost of existing inference schemes. Our scheme: requires no discretisation of the domain; scales linearly in the num...
متن کاملA Novel Frequency Domain Linearly Constrained Minimum Variance Filter for Speech Enhancement
A reliable speech enhancement method is important for speech applications as a pre-processing step to improve their overall performance. In this paper, we propose a novel frequency domain method for single channel speech enhancement. Conventional frequency domain methods usually neglect the correlation between neighboring time-frequency components of the signals. In the proposed method, we take...
متن کاملOn the acceleration of augmented Lagrangian method for linearly constrained optimization
The classical augmented Lagrangian method (ALM) plays a fundamental role in algorithmic development of constrained optimization. In this paper, we mainly show that Nesterov’s influential acceleration techniques can be applied to accelerate ALM, thus yielding an accelerated ALM whose iteration-complexity is O(1/k) for linearly constrained convex programming. As a by-product, we also show easily ...
متن کاملSeparation Theorem for Linearly Constrained
We solve the linearly constrained linear-quadratic LQ and linear-quadratic-Gaussian LQG optimal control problems. Closed form expressions of the optimal controls are derived, and the Separation Theorem is generalized.
متن کاملGeneration of Correlated and Constrained Gaussian Stochastic Processes for N-body Simulations
A novel method of generating initial conditions for cosmological simulations based on the filtering of white noise is proposed. It is shown that it is possible to obtain any desired zero-mean Gaussian Stochastic Process (GSP) by applying an appropriate filter to a white noise (i.e., correlation-free) process. Since instances of white-noise processes are easy to generate in practice from standar...
